20. Hunter Cattoor – Virginia Tech

Having already spent four years with Mike Young and the Hokies, Cattoor returns for a fifth and final season at Virginia Tech. A full-time starter in the backcourt each of the last two seasons, Cattoor hopes to finish his career with an even better season after averaging 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists last year.

What makes Cattoor special is his shooting touch, as he led the ACC while making 42% of his 3-pointers least season. He’s been above 40% from beyond the arc in each of his four seasons and will continue to play a major role on offense for the Hokies. At the same time, he’s an above average defender who makes great plays on both sides of the court and fills an important veteran role for this program.

19. Darin Green Jr. – Florida State

After three seasons at UCF, Green joined the Seminoles last season and transitioned nicely into their backcourt. A talented shooting guard, not only is Green one of the most important returning players, but nobody else scored more total points last season at Florida State. He averaged 13.4 points per game and hit 36% of his 3-pointers, a hair below his shooting numbers the year prior.

This’ll be his fifth and final rodeo at the college level and he’ll be an important piece for the Seminoles. He’s the best shooter on this Florida State squad and might be the only reliable weapon from long range. We’ll have to see how this program bounces back after struggling in recent years, but bringing back a veteran shooter like Green into this offense is always a positive.
