14. Mark Mitchell – Duke

A hot recruit from last offseason, Mitchell did solid work as a freshman for the Blue Devils and is back for year two in Duke’s frontcourt. He averaged 9.1 points and 4.5 rebounds as a full-time starter at forward last season and will look to build on those numbers as a sophomore, with a slightly different cast around him.

Mitchell had strong defensive metrics and actually made 35% of his 3-pointers, though he had limited attempts from beyond the arc. He’s the kind of player who does the nitty gritty stuff for the Blue Devils and should make nice strides as a sophomore after a full year of development. After all, Mitchell is a former Top 25 recruit and should be in position for even more explosive numbers this season.

13. Quinten Post – Boston College

It’s the end of the road for Post, who was a reserve for two seasons at Mississippi State before transferring to Boston College back in 2021. He started just about half the games he played in his first two seasons for the Eagles, but should be in line for even more production in his fifth and final campaign. He’s coming off a season where he averaged 15.1 points and 5.6 rebounds, making 43% of his 3-point attempts.

At 7’0, he’s certainly an impressive presence in the paint, and his ability to knock down outside shots speaks to his versatility. He’s going to score all over the floor for the Eagles and become an even more important weapon with the pieces Boston College lost in the offseason. When he’s on top of his game, there are only few bigs performing better than Post; we’ll see what kind of season he can put together in his final collegiate opportunity.
