Schedule Outlook

The defending champs ease into the new season with three straight home games, including opening night against Northern Arizona on November 6th.

The difficulty begins later in the month with the Saatva Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden. On November 19th they get their first test of the season against Indiana and will then face either Louisville or Texas the following evening.

November finishes with two more pretty easy home dates, but December is significantly tougher for the Huskies. It begins on December 1st with a highly-anticipated trip to Allen Fieldhouse as the Huskies take on a Kansas squad ranked #1 in the preseason. Just four days later they’ll be back at Madison Square Garden for the Jimmy V Classic and a matchup with North Carolina.

Nonconference play has just two remaining games, though one is a simple matchup with Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The final game is no simple test as the Huskies will travel to Seattle for a tough game against a great Gonzaga squad.

Big East play begins on December 20th at Seton Hall and will again be a full 20-game schedule, with home-and-home’s against all of their conference foes. Relatively speaking, the first few weeks aren’t too challenging for the Huskies, but things get tougher later on.

A late January stretch with Creighton at home and Villanova on the road is the first major test, while both their games against Marquette come in the back half of the schedule. Senior Night will be on March 3rd against Seton Hall, though two tough road games against Marquette and Providence await after that.
