Key Reserves

One of the most important factors to this team not only this year, but for the growth of the program in the future is the use and development of the younger guys on this team. The Rebels have some experience off the bench, but the freshman are really going to need to step it up this year as well.

Jackie Johnson III (Junior)

Jackie Johnson is going to be a great asset to bring in and split time with Justin Webster at the point. Johnson spent last year with UNLV as well, and saw a lot of playing time off the bench as well. Much like Webster, Johnson shows the ability to play a point and score himself. His game needs a little development to fine-tune and step into a starting role later this year or more likely next.

Isaiah Cottrell (RS Sophomore)

Cottrell only played in one game game last year before a season-ending injury stunted his progression. Prior to that, he looked to be one of the better forwards in this forward heavy lineup. In all reality, it would not be surprising to see Cottrell find a starting role

Freshman

UNLV brings in three freshman – two guards in Dedan Thomas  Jr. and Brooklyn Hicks as well as forward Jacob Barnnabie. The progression of the guard play from younger guys is going to be vocal for the success of the program down the road. This team needs to guard play to move the ball and be quick on the perimeter, and with a large majority of the roster
