4. Oso Ighodaro, Marquette

Oso Ighodaro burst onto the scene last season for the eventual Big East Champion Marquette Golden Eagles. He comes in at 6’11, 235 with an elite wingspan that separates him from the other big men in this conference.

235 is lighter than some of the other bigs on this list, and that aids him in his athleticism which allows him to be a good scorer, but also one of the better rim protectors in the nation. Ighodaro had 54 total blocks last season, and that number will only look to increase as he heads into his senior season.

Marquette was in a position where they needed to add another star piece to their lineup, and the only way that was going to happen was if a current player came in and stepped up. Tyler Kolek and crew already had solid wing and guard play, but they needed that presence down low to allow them to work.

In comes Ighodaro, who did not have nearly as much playing time the year before, but he was allowed to shine, took it, and ran with it. He ended up on the All-BIG EAST Second team for his efforts and helped lead this team to a conference title.

his scoring output increased from 5.5 points per game the year before, all the way up to 11. 4 points per game. If he can continue to improve on all levels of the floor as he did last season, Marquette will continue to be a force in this conference next season.
