Big Ten Basketball will have some new and old faces in 2023-24, here’s how they stack up against each other.
Big Ten Basketball has had a lot of teams in the big dance in the past few years, and the head coaches are a big part of that. All time coaches like Tom Izzo and Matt Painter have had their teams near the top of the league and having tournament success in the past few years. While coaches like Kevin Willard and Greg Gard are just willing their teams to success.
The BIG Ten has some new faces as well. Micah Shrewsberry left Penn State to take over Notre Dame this past offseason, as the Nittany Lions had some serious success with him in the past couple years. Mike Rhodes looks to keep that success going with Penn State. Coaches like Fred Hoiberg and Ben Johnson also are looking to finally have some success, as they have struggled so far at their respected schools (Nebraska & Minnesota).
While the BIG Ten certainly hasn’t a lot of Tournament success in recent years, but they have had a slew of teams in the tournament in recent years. The BIG Ten is always competitive, and no one seems to ever know who will end up at the top of the standings till the very end of the season.
