16. Kentucky

November 14 (vs. Kansas)

John Calipari never hesitates on the recruiting trail and brought another elite and impressive class of freshmen to Lexington in the offseason. A young squad that includes Justin Edwards and DJ Wagner will combine with more experienced pieces like Antonio Reeves and Tre Mitchell. Their first two games come at home in a very winnable fashion, but push comes to shove pretty early in the season.

These Wildcats head to Chicago for the Champions Classic and will get quite the matchup against #1 Kansas. Certainly the toughest game on Kentucky’s nonconference slate, this is also an opportunity for this young roster to prove that they belong with a great performance against a skilled and veteran Jayhawks squad. The Wildcats play host to Final Four team Miami as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, but that certainly won’t top the hype of Kansas.

15. Texas A&M

November 29 (at Virginia)

Wade Taylor IV, Tyrece Radford, and the rest of this Aggies lineup is hoping for even greater things this upcoming season after a 2nd place finish in the SEC. Though they open the season with a very winnable contest against Texas A&M Commerce at home, the Aggies will actually have two true road games against Ohio State and SMU after that, but that’s not all for their November.

We could talk about their trip to the ESPN Events Invitational in Florida, which begins with a rematch with Penn State, who knocked them out of the NCAA Tournament last year. However, their toughest test is their third road contest at the end of the month. The Aggies head over to Virginia as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, taking on a Cavaliers squad that rarely goes down without a fight. Frankly, Ohio State and Virginia will be significant early challenges for the Aggies.
