2. Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Coach Steve Pikiell has turned Rutgers into an NCAA Tournament program in the past few years, which has benefitted on the recruiting trail. This current class, ranked in the top 10, is on pace to be easily the greatest in program history. They’re led by 6’8 wing Ace Bailey, ranked in the top 3 overall, and the best commit ever. The team also has three more three-star commits in the group in Dylan Grant, Lathan Sommerville, and Bryce Dortch.

But things have a great chance of getting better for the Knights, as they’re the rumored favorite to land Dylan Harper, the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2024 class. If they land the five-star ball-handler, Rutgers will end up having not only the best Big Ten recruiting haul but also in the top 3 overall.

1. Missouri Tigers

If you’re in the SEC, you’re going to have to recruit at a high level. And that’s what new head coach Dennis Gates has done, currently with the No. 2 overall class. All five commits are currently ranked in the top-100 and in the four-star range. Annor Boateng was big for not only being a top-30 commit but also beating out Arkansas (where he’s from) for his services.

The Tigers have two unique centers in 300-pound Peyton Marshall and 7’3 Trent Burns, along with four-star ball-handler, TO Barrett. And Marcus Allen is a versatile 6’6 wing who also should be a key piece going forward. In a rare situation where the likes of Kentucky, Alabama, and Arkansas aren’t in the top spot, then you have to give the team that is, the best spot overall on this list.
