As we head into the first Friday of the season we are going to finally get to see some highly anticipated games between ranked NCAA Basketball teams. After tonight everyone will have played at least once.

We all made it to the first Friday of the NCAA basketball regular season. Thursday was the first day of the year that did not see any significant upsets. It was not from lack of effort. Howard put a scare into Georgia Tech in Atlanta. There was a buzzer beater in UC Davis to avoid the upset over Pepperdine. James Madison and Kent State are the early frontrunner for game of the year. Friday is when the games start to pick up and we should all finally be done with the non division 1 teams playing every day.

Yesterday I went 23-6. That puts me at 140-27 overall. Heading into the Friday games there are some teams who are still waiting to play their first games. Long Island, Florida State, UNC Greensboro, Gonzaga, and Wright State are all in action. There is one huge game between two teams ranked in the top 15 in the country and the top team in the country is in action. The action picks up in a big way today and it should be a great slate of games. The picks for Day 5 November 10, 2023 are below.

There are some great games on the docket for tomorrow. Will the Big Ten be able to redeem themselves against top competition and show the first night was a fluke?  There will be some upsets today, you can guarantee that. UAB over Clemson on a neutral court is one game that has some upset potential.

Dayton over Northwestern is another game that is going to put the Big Ten on watch. Boston College is playing a trap game at The Citadel that has an upset all over it. Yes, games in November count and matter come resume time. See you tomorrow.
