Win the Rebounding Battle

Maryland is a good team, but their effort hasn’t been there to start the year. Villanova isn’t the biggest team, but they can punish you inside and on the boards if you don’t stay focused. Eric Dixon is an absolute beast, and the additions of Ware, Hart and Burton give them some added depth in the front court. If Maryland is going to win, they need to limit Villanova’s second chance opportunities as well as securing some of their own. Julian ‘JuJu’ Reese is a difference maker for the Terrapins, and he can impose his will on this game if his A-game shows up.

Relatively undersized, Maryland will have to deal with some serious serious, strength, and talent once conference play rolls around. I wouldn’t say they have a size advantage in this game, but it is relatively close, and they’ll need to take advantage.

If they want to get back to .500, they should feed Reese on the offensive end and have everyone crash the boards on the defensive end. If Maryland is able to win the rebounding battle they will have a leg-up in this Friday night clash.
