NCAA Basketball: Kentucky, Arkansas fall in latest top 25 power ranking

10. Texas A&M (4-0)
Basketball at Texas A&M has been trending in a great direction these last couple of seasons and there’s plenty of reason to believe this year could be truly special. Buzz Williams has had quite the task on his hands since arriving at College State back in 2019 but the fruit is starting to bear, especially after last season’s 2nd place finish in the SEC.
Back on Tuesday night, Texas A&M got a rare second road win super early into the system, topping SMU 79-66. Tyrece Radford led the way with 21 points and 7 rebounds while Henry Coleman III added 13 points and 15 rebounds. While it wasn’t their best effort to date, the Aggies got their fourth straight win on Friday night, winning 74-66 at home over Oral Roberts. Coleman was important again with 19 points and 10 rebounds, though the Aggies shot just 9% from outside the arc, one area they’ve struggled with to this point.
While they weren’t exactly Top 25 opponents, Texas A&M is already getting battle tested with that pair of road wins already. The offense has played well for the most part, finding ways to survive when the outside shooting goes cold. The tests away from home continue in a major way next week as the Aggies head to the ESPN Events Invitational, starting with Penn State on Thursday and two other games later that weekend.
