NCAA Basketball: Game picks for Day 18 of the 2023-24 season

Thanksgiving Day is no longer just a sport reserved for Football. There are some great NCAA Basketball games on the docket as well. Headlined by two ranked teams squaring off in the Acrisure Classic.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and there is a loaded slate of games today. Football no longer is the dominant sport on Thanksgiving. Purdue is going to be the number 1 team in the country on Monday as they win the Maui Invitational against a good Marquette team. Tennessee was the team ranked in the top 10 to lose two straight games after they lost to Kansas in the third place game in Maui.
Hofstra won the Gulf Coast Showcase. Appalachian State won their side of the Fort Myers Tip Off. Wisconsin won their side of the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Tarleton State won their bracket of the SoCal Challenge and Bradley won their side of the SoCal Challenge. James Madison won their Multi Team Event as well. Maine is the team of the night as they go to Tampa and pull off a huge upset over South Florida. The Bulls were supposed to be much better but have really struggled to open the year.
Yesterday I went 46-12 in my picks which gives me a 17 day total of 610-189. The Battle 4 Atlantis and the NIT season tip off continue today and there are some ranked teams in action today. The Acrisure Classic, ESPN Events Invitational, and the Rady Children’s Invitational all begin today. It is another loaded slate of games to watch while we all enjoy our turkey tomorrow. So many good games today. Michigan State and Arizona is the game of the day. Florida Atlantic looks to bounce back after losing to Bryant. The Owls play their first power five school. Creighton is going to get tested by Colorado State. The Rams have a great team and have guards who matchup well with the Creighton backcourt. It does not look like there are any games on the slate that will result in an upset but it is college basketball so who knows. Enjoy the games and see you tomorrow.
