3. Arizona (6-0)
Though the postseason results haven’t come quite yet, Arizona has seen a rebirth with Tommy Lloyd leading this program the last few seasons. Some big talent has the led the Wildcats to a plethora of wins and the team is off to another hot start to begin this season, having already won that incredible road game at Duke a few weeks ago.
This week they played a pair of games as part of the Acrisure Invitational, beginning with a 101-56 win at home over UT Arlington. That Sunday performance saw seven different Wildcats score in double figures, getting 15 points apiece from Oumar Ballo and Kylan Boswell. A tougher challenge awaited on Thanksgiving as Arizona defeated Michigan State 74-68 in Palm Springs. All five starters were in double figures, capped off by Caleb Love’s 17-point effort in the win.
As evident by these recent games, Arizona has talent up and down this roster and it’s been a consistent effort from nearly everyone in that rotation. They’ve already won a pair of games away from home over teams considered national contenders and both sides of the ball have been elite at times this season. They get to rest easy after that holiday success, with their only contest next week being at home against Colgate, albeit a pretty feisty mid-major program.
