Big East Basketball provided some great entertainment once again, this time in the MTE portion of the season where several Big East teams traveled to some great places to participate. Whether that was Maui, San Diego, or the Bahamas, the Big East was well represented during Feast Week.

Big East teams caused upsets, and some were upset themselves, and some just did not show up the way they needed to. Not on this list is Seton Hall, who went 0-2 during their trip to San Deigo, falling to ranked USC and Iowa. They showed some fight but were unable to pick up wins and have some work to do as the season continues.

The Butler Bulldogs had a good run during the ESPN Events Invitational though, losing a close one to ranked FAU, and picking up a couple of wins against Penn State and Boise State. Butler now sits at 5-2 heading into the Big East-Big 12 Battle against Texas Tech. Every school had games, but not all took their luxurious trips to warmer climates or had already played in their MTE.

We mostly saw the schools that played in their Feast Week tournaments and invitationals, but the weekend did provide some interesting storylines which we will get into later in this week’s roundup. This conference may not have had the pure drama that it had last week, but the basketball was what told the tale, as it should in this conference.
