NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 23 of the 2023-24 season
By Bryan Mauro
NCAA Basketball Conference play begins today in the Missouri Valley. The first edition of the ACC/SEC challenge starts today as well.
Even with a lighter slate of games yesterday it was not short on upsets. Oakland beat Xavier at Cintas. It was a big win for Oakland, a team who has kept every game they have played close. The Golden Grizzlies look like the top team in the Horizon heading into December. Xavier is really struggling to find the right formula after losing their best two players in the preseason. The Musketeers do not look good right now.
Collectively I think we all missed on Saint Mary’s; they were a team that was preseason ranked and were a lock to make the tournament. Heading into play today they sit at 3-4 after losing a home game to Utah. A team that the Gaels should have won.
Yesterday I went 11-4 for a 22 day total of 742-256. Conference play starts today in the Missouri Valley. The new SEC/ACC Challenge begins today as well. There is a much better schedule of games today and there are some good games on the schedule today. The picks for day 23 November 28 2023 are below.

There are still some clunkers on the schedule today. A lot of power fives are playing some tune up games. Alabama and Clemson and NC State and Ole Miss are the best games of the day. The top team in the country is in action today and won’t be challenged much. Indiana State and Southern Illinois along with Utah State and Saint Louis are the premier mid major games of the day. Enjoy the games and see you tomorrow.
