3. Isaiah Coleman was a great surprise yet again

This Pirates team needed some hope for the future in this new Shaheen Holloway era, and they are getting exactly that in freshman Isaiah Coleman. He put in 24 minutes of action with 11 points in the victory, and his scoring ability once developed is going to be a great asset for this team.

Coleman seeing a lot more playing time is an encouraging sign for the Pirate Faithful, as he has been one of the more exciting players on this basketball team. In terms of him starting, that may come soon, but Holloway is playing it slow and not making that huge decision just yet.

While he played great, a strong game against Northeastern is only going to do so much in terms of him potentially starting over Dylan Addae-Wusu or another starter. For now, he is a great spark plug off the bench, and should see a major role once players like Richmond and Dawes are gone next year.

Coleman, regardless of his playing time and role is giving Pirate fans one thing, and that is hope. If Holloway can continue to bring in young talent like him, then this team will be back to the NCAA Tournament before we all know it.

At this point, his development is going extremely well, and he will get his day in the sun probably sooner than we think. But his play is what Pirate fans were hoping for when it came to this new regime.
