No. 15 Creighton (5-1) at Nebraska (7-0), Sun, Dec. 3, 4:00 PM ET, FOX Sports 1

Let’s finish off the weekend with an afternoon tilt between two in-state rivals from the Cornhusker State. The Nebraska Cornhuskers play host to their friends from Omaha No. 15 Creighton. The Bluejays began the year on fire, winning their first five games of the year by an average of 28 points. That start was followed up by a 21-point loss to Colorado State that saw Creighton (5-1) have one of its worst shooting performances in years, shooting 27% from the field, 20% from deep, and just 61% from the free throw line.

Before facing the Cornhuskers (7-0) on Saturday, Creighton will try and right the ship against an Oklahoma State team that has had its share of struggles to start the year. It’s unlikely that an offensive juggernaut like Creighton who averaged 91 points per game prior to the loss to Colorado State, will struggle to put the ball in the basket to that extent again this season.

This game is important for Creighton, not only to show that the Colorado State game was an anomaly, but with the strength of the Big East they have to avoid any more missed steps before conference play. In order to be on the radar of the committee for a No. 1 seed the Bluejays will have to do work in league play, play that begins against Villanova and Marquette. But first, they have to take care of business this week against Oklahoma State and then Nebraska on Sunday.
