1. Arizona (7-0)

Ever since Tommy Lloyd took over this program two and a half years ago the Wildcats simply win games. They’ve won a pair of Pac-12 titles, been among the national contenders to this point, and just continue to win. That trend has continued in a season that involves impressive wins at Duke and in California against Michigan State back on Thanksgiving.

Following a long post-holiday rest, the Wildcats were back on the court on Saturday for a tune up, getting an 82-55 win over Colgate. Arizona played their best defensive game to date and significantly outrebounded the Raiders in that big victory. Among the leaders for the Wildcats were Caleb Love with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Oumar Ballo with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

In a week where seemingly every top team lost, Arizona held serve, albeit with just one very winnable opportunity on this week’s slate. The Wildcats have a pair of impressive victories and looked solid in most of their games through the month of November. Many eyes will be on this team in the month ahead, not just for their early success but because of the harsh schedule ahead. Their next four games are against Wisconsin, Purdue, Alabama, and Florida Atlantic; with the latter three away from home.
