21. Oklahoma (7-0)

Before this season started, Oklahoma was picked to finish 12th out of 14 in the Big 12. Clearly they’ve looked a bit better than that preseason prediction, running through November without suffering a loss. Their recent spotlight has stemmed from a great performance at the Rady Children’s Invitational, though the Sooners just kept winning this past week as well.

The challenge was significantly easier compared to that event last week, with Oklahoma securing a 107-86 home win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff back on Thursday night. The Sooners had their best offensive performance of the season but certainly their weakest on the defensive side as well. They coasted to a win in this shootout thanks to 20 points from Otega Oweh and a 19-point, 8-rebound effort from Jalon Moore.

Those two wins in San Diego were important for the Sooners, since their other five games have been relatively simple wins at home. We’re not saying Oklahoma doesn’t deserve to be in this position, instead that we’re going to learn a lot about them in the weeks to come. Specifically, the Sooners play host to Providence next week and then have a really intriguing matchup with Arkansas over the weekend.
