Many games this past week had meaningful Bracketology implications, including the start of league play for conferences such as the Big Ten and ACC. And with that comes true road games, which is the ultimate equalizer in the sport.

That happened in the past week, with several top-10 teams falling. That gave a bunch of teams big resume-boosting wins that’ll pay off down the road. Ahead of the reveal of the NET rankings on Monday, here’s a look at the latest Bracketology winners of the NCAA Basketball season from the last few days.

Northwestern Wildcats

After winning the Maui Invitational, Purdue became the No. 1 team in the country. They also became the best possible team to get a win against for a team’s respective resume. Northwestern got a crack at them, looking to repeat last year’s upset over the top team. That’s what they were able to do, winning 92-88 in overtime.

All-Big Ten star Boo Buie had 31 pts and 9 asts, while both Ty Berry and Ryan Langborg had 20+ pts as well. The Wildcats have wins over Dayton and Rhode Island but this one over Purdue is going to be one of the top wins any team gets. Just in case this team is on the bubble, this one is going to pay off big going forward.

Kansas Jayhawks

Like last year, Kansas seems set to get a ton of Quad 1 wins and make a case for getting a 1 seed again. On Friday, the Jayhawks were able to get the home win over national champion UConn, 69-65. Three players did most of the work for them, led by 21 pts from Kevin McCullar Jr., along with 33 points combined from Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams.

UConn joins Tennessee as the early big wins for Kansas, two wins that’ll certainly look good down the road. The next couple of weeks offers some more power conference tests for Kansas, with Indiana and Missouri coming up.
