UConn’s 1st loss, Creighton’s bounce back among latest Big East Basketball storylines

1. Jerome Hunter returns for Xavier
The Xavier Musketeers got some phenomenal news after Jerome Hunter was cleared to resume basketball activities. He had been dealing with an undisclosed medical issue that had him out indefinitely, but he has made a great return to basketball.
His return to playing for the Musketeers is something that is not clear yet, and he still has work to do in returning, but that is not the important thing here. The fact that he was able to return to practice in a limited capacity is such an encouraging sign for him and his health, and returning to playing in actual games is not the important thing here. What is important is that he is healthy, and can be there with his teammates in whatever capacity he can be.
If he his able to return, he is a solid piece that can provide a great scoring output for this team. He would be a huge boost for the Musketeers, but that is yet to be seen. What is known is that he is playing the game he loves right now and is making great progress following his medical situation.
The Musketeers are 4-4 right now, and once conference play begins Hunter would help them get back somewhat to the Xavier team they were last year. But that will be seen at a later date, Hunter being back is a great morale boost for this locker room, and the entire Big East Conference.
