After an extremely light slate of games yesterday, Friday doesn’t offer much more.  There are a lot of low majors playing but every game provides some upset potential. This is a primer for a huge weekend of hoops.

After a very light slate on Thursday with only one notable game. Iowa State crushed Iowa and Iowa much like many other Big Ten teams does not look very good. They are struggling on the offensive end of the floor and couple that with their inability to defend on most nights and it is a team that does not appear to be very good. Outside of that there was not much else that moved the needed in the College Basketball world.

Yesterday I went 4-1. That brings the 32-day total of 1,021-365 overall. The schedule picks up again today but doesn’t truly get going until tomorrow as we head into rivalry weekend. There are a lot of non-conference rivalry games over the next few days and some of those games are going to be heated and should be great matchups. There are still not a ton of great games today but if you are a college basketball junkie you will find something to watch. Picks for Day 33 December 8, 2023 are below.

Duquesne over Saint Peter’s

Boston College over Holy Cross

Rider over Stonehill

Manhattan over Fairleigh Dickinson

Harvard over Army

High Point over North Carolina A&T

Oakland over Eastern Michigan

Jacksonville State over Illinois Chicago

Quinnipiac over Navy

Today is not going to appeal to the casual fan. Today is a day that the College Hoops diehards are going to love because it is mostly all low majors with the chance of an upset in many of the games. Duquesne and Saint Peter’s is the best game. The Dukes are off to a great start and Saint Peter’s was the darling of the College Basketball world two seasons ago.

Next. Are teams like BYU, Butler, and Clemson good?. dark

Outside of that Oakland and Eastern Michigan features two dynamic scorers who are fun to watch. That is about it today. Enjoy the games and see you tomorrow.
