NCAA Basketball: Picks for Day 34 of the 2023-24 season
By Bryan Mauro
After two light days on the NCAA Basketball schedule, Saturday is going to deliver in a big way. It is rivalry Saturday with a ton of huge games between state rivals.
It has not been an eventful last two days in the college basketball universe. There have only been 14 games played over the last two days and nothing of significance has happened. Friday was a day where only one Power 5 team was in action. Boston College beat Holy Cross. Duquesne was the game of the night and they were able to win a game where the pace was slow and when the shots were not falling. The Dukes are deep and are going to be a factor in the Atlantic 10.
Yesterday on my picks I was 7-2. That gives me a 33 day total of 1,028-367. The Thursday and Friday schedule was light to bring us an amazing day of games today. It is rivalry Saturday with a ton of rivals playing in the non conference. It is also the start of the Holiday Hoopsgiving MTE. The Orange Bowl Classic, The Hall of Fame Series in Toronto, and the Jack Jones Showcase are all tomorrow as well. It is going to be a huge day of wall to wall hoops and I can’t wait for it. Picks for day 34 December 9, 2023 are below.

There are so many great games today that it is hard to pick the best ones. Arizona and Wisconsin is going to be a battle of two teams who are polar opposites. Arizona loves to play fast and score a lot and the Badgers play slow and try to prevent you from scoring.
Nevada and Drake may be the best mid major game of the entire season. Those two teams are likely going to be in the NCAA tournament in March. Gonzaga and Washington tends to get heated. Rutgers and Seton Hall in the Battle of New Jersey. There is literally something for everyone today. Enjoy the games and see you tomorrow.
