We’re entering the part in December where players are taking finals and the number of big games aren’t as many. That means the overall opportunities to improve one’s Bracketology resumes aren’t as many either, which means we need to highlight those who were able to move the needed in the past few days.

Here’s a look at the 10 teams with big wins that’ll hopefully pay off.

10. Kansas State Wildcats

Off the court, Coach Jerome Tang has been dealing with Nae’Qwan Tomlin not being with the team anymore after getting suspended in the preseason. But the Wildcats have been finding ways to win on the court, getting a pair of power conference victories. The first came at home against Villanova in overtime, followed by beating LSU on the road.

The Tigers aren’t a very good SEC team, with a NET ranking below 150. Villanova is in the top-50 range, coming off its own win over UCLA last weekend. With the only losses this year being USC and Miami, Kansas State is in a good spot with its resume, heading into a home matchup with Nebraska.

9. Colorado Buffaloes

In its two biggest games of the season to this point, Colorado lost to Florida State and Colorado State, with the Seminoles defeat potentially coming back to haunt them. With just a couple of games left before the start of Pac-12 play, they took on Miami in a neutral site matchup without star freshman, Cody Williams.

The proved to be no problem, as the Buffaloes dominated the top-15 team, winning 90-63, It’s not only a signature win for their resume but the blowout margin should do wonders for their metrics. It was something needed before league play gets going.
