Georgetown Hoyas

In the first year of the Coach Ed Cooley era, the Hoyas are 5-4, including a loss to Holy Cross. While they do look better than the recent Patrick Ewing-led teams, this current group isn’t an NCAA Tournament team, even with the return of forward and former teammate of Tomlin, Ishmael Massoud.

Besides the Massoud connection, Georgetown could offer Tomlin a chance to be the focal point of the frontcourt, pairing with Dontrez Styles. If nothing else, it would be a two-month period in front of pro scouts to improve his stock for the professional ranks.

Kansas Jayhawks

Kansas is a genuine national title contender with the pieces it currently has, led by Hunter Dickinson and Kevin McCullar. However, the main concern with this roster is the lack of depth overall, with only four real scorers. They’re reportedly interested in adding a piece in the middle of the season, with five-star wing prospect Bryson Tucker being an option.

Tomlin could be another option for the Jayhawks, who could devastate its rival Kansas State in the process. The free agent forward could play the three-spot next to Dickinson and KJ Adams, while McCullar plays the two-spot. It would be a great defensive lineup and Tomlin would have a chance to win it all in his final year.
