After a huge weekend of games that saw a lot of undefeated and ranked teams go down the new week brings another light NCAA Basketball schedule.

I had to take a day off from my picks due to some family obligations that took precedent over picks for the day. When we last spoke it was Saturday morning and it was rivalry day. What a day it was there were a ton of huge games and a ton of undefeated teams who are undefeated no longer. BYU lost to Utah; TCU lost to Clemson. Arizona showed they were the clear number 1 after destroying a ranked Wisconsin team. I don’t think the Wildcats will relinquish the number 1 ranking any time soon.

Sunday was another day that saw an undefeated team go down. Princeton lost to Saint Joseph’s. There were also some ranked teams who lost. Colorado beat a ranked Miami and Memphis beat a ranked Texas A&M. Nebraska got back to their winning and put themselves back in the NCAA tournament conversation with a win over Michigan State in Lincoln. Is it now officially time to panic on the Spartans?  I think they will get it going but they are starting very slow this year.

On Saturday I went 68-35. That brings my 35 day total to 1,096-402 overall. After a huge weekend there is another reset day in College Basketball. The schedule is extremely light today with only ranked team in action. Consider that it is also finals week across the country for most of the schools so the games this week are going to be light before the schedule picks up again on the weekend. Picks for day 36 December 11, 2023 are below.

Texas A&M Commerce over Northern Colorado

Jacksonville over South Carolina State

Delaware over Robert Morris

Penn over Howard

Fairleigh Dickinson over Columbia

Quinnipiac over Yale

New Hampshire over Stonehill

Samford over Alabama A&M

Gonzaga over Mississippi Valley State

Utah Tech over Northridge

San Francisco over New Orleans

I mentioned there was not much today. We do have some day basketball though with Texas A&M Commerce against Northern Colorado. The game of the day is Fairleigh Dickinson and Columbia. The Lions are off to their best start in a long time and the Knights are still one of the best teams in the NEC and will likely contend for an NCAA tournament again. Outside of that there is not much to get excited about today. Enjoy the games and see you tomorrow.
