11. Memphis Grizzlies: Cedric Coward
Latif Love: B
Coward was the mystery player of this class. He only played six games this season and played his first two seasons against lower competition. Coward has a 7-foot-2 wingspan and is a good shooter from everywhere on the floor. He needs to refine his handle and grow as a passer, but he could be the answer at the wing that the Grizzlies have been looking for.
It’s a risk because of his small sample size against competition, but the Grizzlies' scouting department deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Joey LeMaster: A-
Trading Desmond Bane for Cedric Coward and three additional first-round picks is fantastic business from the Memphis Grizzlies.
Coward can score from anywhere on the court. He is the epitome of the game being about a bucket. This pairs nicely with the fact he is freakishly athletic and smart in all aspects of basketball.
This was a great trade for the Memphis Grizzlies.
