Former Wolfpack guard Justin Gainey replaced Will Wade for the Wolfpack and was able to bring back McNeil, likely the team’s best player for next season. He’s part of what should be an improved backcourt, with Hammond and Edmead two quality guards, while Adams is a former five-star prospect who was a double-digit scorer in his first year at Maryland.
The frontcourt doesn’t have as much depth, with Big West Defensive Player of the Year Evans needing to have a big impact at center. Yalaho is a solid forward, with Keene a glue-guy coming over from Boise State. We’ll see what Gainey can do in his first year as HC but NC State’s roster has real talent to work with.
