Losing projected top-5 NBA Draft pick Cameron Boozer is a blow to the team. And there’s a chance that Williams won’t be as good as the next top incoming prospect. However, that likely won’t matter, as Duke is covered in every other aspect. The lead guy will be Blackwell, who was a star at Wisconsin and a potent scorer. Cayden Boozer and Foster are back, while Sarr is an elite defensive wing.
Scharnowski earned all-defensive honors at Belmont and Ngonba’s return is one that flies under the radar. While the margin may not be as wide with Virginia and Louisville having the ability to match up, it’s hard to see how the Blue Devils aren’t the clear-cut team to beat in the ACC at this stage of the offseason.
