Former UT-Arlington head coach Scott Cross takes over for the Yellow Jackets with a complete roster overhaul. The big names to watch are Garland and Whitlock, two 20+ ppg scoring guards from the mid-major ranks who can make a solid backcourt on offense.
On the other hand, the frontcourt remains a big issue, with little options to improve it. Fields could be a breakout candidate coming over from WVU and Valdes is a solid offensive player. Former Georgia redshirt center Jackson McVey is another name to watch but this is a roster that has a lot to prove to get out of the ACC basement.
