Coach Jeff Capel survived last season’s disastrous campaign and has an entire new roster, filled with familiar ACC Basketball faces. Ndongo, George, and Souare were all on the same Georgia Tech squad in 2024-25 that finished 17-17 (10-10) overall. The Panthers hope the supporting cast will be an improvement, including SoCon Defensive Player of the Year big man, Mighty.
After two disappointing seasons at Miami and Alabama, former five-star prospect Bethea is on his third team. If he has any kind of a breakout, that’ll be big for a Pittsburgh team whose backcourt lacks much scoring. It’s a roster that has a decent floor but whose ceiling leaves a lot desired.
