3. Clemson Tigers - 12-3 (4-0)

After beating Kentucky and Miami, Clemson was 9-1 and looking like a top-25 team. But back-to-back losses to Memphis and South Carolina in overtime set them back a bit. The good news is that they’ve bounced back with three straight home wins.

After beating Wake Forest, the Tigers welcomed a couple of west coast programs. Up first was Stanford, taking a two-point halftime lead and pushing it out to an 85-71 victory. Chase Hunter led the team with 22 points, while Jaeden Zackery produced 16 points, six assists, and four steals. Chauncey Wiggins, having a scoring breakout game, had 17 points.

The game with Cal for Clemson included another one-possession lead at the break. And as with Stanford, the Tigers dominated the final 20 minutes to win 80-68. Forward Ian Schieffelin had 21 points on 8/10 FG, while Hunter had 19 points and six assists. Wiggins chipped in with another 15 for the Tigers.

Clemson now has three road games in the next four outings to test their unbeaten ACC Basketball record. Up next is Louisville on the road, followed by a home battle with Florida State.
