11. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - 8-7 (2-2)

Georgia Tech started the season 4-6, including a loss to North Florida. After a three-game losing skid to Oklahoma, Northwestern, and UNC to open ACC play, it looks as if the team has found another gear, particularly on offense. They’ve won four of the last five games, with the lone loss being at Duke.

The Jackets won both games at home in the past week. The first was against Notre Dame, winning 86-75. The stars of the game for the team came off the bench, with Javian McCollum and Duncan Powell each scoring 21 points. Point guard Naithan George chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

In the next game, Georgia Tech had no issue at home versus Boston College. McCollum had another big game off the bench with 20 points, while Lance Terry, the team’s leading scorer on the season, also had 20. George produced a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists in the 85-64 win.

The offensive surge by the Yellow Jackets will be tested this week as they go on the road. They take on Syracuse and SMU, two teams that can be potent on offense. So there’s a chance GT will be in a couple of shootouts.
