12. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Coach Damon Stoudamire’s first year had some ups and downs, including some major wins and letdown defeats. They lost a few key pieces, including leading scorer Miles Kelly and key reserves, Kyle Sturdivant and Tyzhaun Claude. The good news is that they returned their two key freshmen from last year.

Naithan George (9.8 ppg and 4.7 apg) emerged as the team's point guard, while Baye Ndongo (12.4 ppg and 8.2 rpg) proved to be one of the better forwards in the conference. Top-50 guard prospect Jaden Mustaf should give them backcourt depth, along with Javian McCollum, who led Oklahoma with 13.3 ppg on 40% shooting from the field.

Other key transfers to watch are Colorado sharpshooter Luke O’Brien and Duncan Powell, a double-digit scorer from Sacramento State. They’ll need Georgetown transfer Ryan Mutombo to have an impact at the five-spot, or four-star freshman Doryan Onwuchekwa will be tasked with contributing early on.

How big the sophomore duo breaks out will determine the Yellow Jackets’ place in the standings. They’ll have to control the inconsistencies to move up but the overall talent should be there to be a threat.
