1. Auburn Tigers - 20-1 (8-0 SEC)
The Tigers came into this week with an 11-game win streak and the No. 1 ranking. But with that comes every team’s best shot. That included LSU, a team that could use a massive signature win to get back on the bubble. Unfortunately, the Tigers were in no mood to keep it close, up by 12 in the first half before winning the game, 87-74.
Johni Broome, who recently returned from an ankle injury, had 26 points and 16 rebounds, as well as three blocks. Three others were in double figures, including Miles Kelly with 13 points.
The next game was also on the road, taking on a ranked Ole Miss squad with one of the SEC's top offenses. It proved that way, with the Rebels scoring 48 second-half points to keep the game within range. However, it wasn’t enough to take down the top team, as Auburn won 92-82. All five starters were in double figures, led by 20 points and 12 rebounds from Johni Broome and 10 points and 13 rebounds by Dylan Cardwell.
Auburn gets to come back home for the next two games. Up first is an Oklahoma squad coming off a blowout win over Vandy on Saturday. Then, they take on Florida in what should be a marquee top-10 matchup next week.
