21. Wisconsin Badgers - 17-5 (7-4 Big Ten)

After beating Nebraska by nearly 30 points, the Badgers went on the road for a pair of Big Ten matchups. Up first was the Maryland Terrapins. Wisconsin was within range for most of the game but it wasn’t enough to win on the road, falling 76-68. John Tonje had 23 points, while Steven Crowl and John Blackwell each had 10.

The next game was at home against Northwestern, a team reeling after losing one of its best players (Brooks Barnhizer) for the rest of the season. That was a tough blow for them but they played well early, having a halftime lead. However, a 50-point outburst in the second half allowed Wisconsin to come back and get the 75-69 win.

Once again, Tonje was the star Badger, leading the team with 27 points on 8/18 FG. Carter Gilmore gave the team a nice boost off the bench with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Max Klesmit and Nolan Winter were also in double figures.

The next two games for Wisconsin could be tricky as they take on a pair of Big Ten bubble schools. Up first, they take on Indiana at home, followed by a road battle with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
