The final full Saturday slate of college basketball has arrived. With a combination of conference tournament games along with closing games of the regular season, the action will not disappoint. Last week we went a successful 7-2 with my picks and we will strive to keep that momentum going in March one half, one game, and one day at a time.
Here are the best bets in college basketball for Saturday, March 8th:

Arkansas Moneyline (-110) vs Mississippi State, 12p.m. ET
I have become quite a sucker for the Razorbacks, but I love this spot for them as a win in this one would solidify a spot in the tournament. I like Arkansas to control this game playing at a fast tempo that Mississippi State cannot keep up with. The Bulldogs have also not been playing their best ball as of late as they are 1-3 in their last four with the lone win coming against an unmotivated LSU team. Arkansas will be without Adou Thiero for the fourth straight game but I like Trevon Brazile to step up in an expanded role just like he did last game with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Chris Jans is also 0-3 at Mississippi State when going against John Calipari Kentucky teams and I expect that trend to continue with Coach Cal leading the Razorbacks.
Indiana Moneyline (-132) vs Ohio State, 3:45p.m. ET
I like the Hoosiers in this battle on the bubble, but no matter what happens both teams should be in the tournament as long as they do not lose in their first game of the Big Ten tournament. Indiana big man Oumar Ballo is the difference maker for me in this one going against an Ohio State team with no strong presence inside the paint. Last time they met Ballo had 21 points and 15 rebounds in an Indiana victory. In a game like this I feel comfortable taking the home team, especially when that is Indiana at Assembly Hall where the Buckeyes have not won since 2019.
Texas A&M -5.5 (-114) at LSU, 4p.m. ET
LSU is what I like to refer to as a dead dog in the world of sports betting. They really have nothing left to play for and have lost their last four including last game where they got whomped by 31 points against Kentucky which told me all I needed to know about this team's mindset at the end of the season. With the Aggies coming off a huge win against Auburn and a spread this low it seems like a bit of a trap, but I believe Texas A&M is a much superior team. I trust Buzz Williams to not let his team have a let down against a Tigers squad that is 5-12-1 ATS as an underdog this season.
Arizona/Kansas Over 152.5 (-115), 4:30p.m. ET
This is my favorite bet of the day. I see this one being a close game from start to finish with a lot of points. This is a high total for Kansas this season, but they will be forced to keep up with a fast paced Arizona team that is averaging 82.2 points per game. Kansas, who is more known for their defense, has done well offensively at home in Big 12 play averaging 79.2 ppg. Both teams have plenty of scorers and I expect them to show up in a game that is important for both teams in terms of conference tournament seeding.
Rounding it out:
- High Point -6.5 (-120) vs Radford, 12p.m. ET
- Alabama +8.5 (-115) at Auburn, 2:30p.m. ET
- Cincinnati -3.5 (-102) at Oklahoma State, 3p.m. ET
- Duquesne/Saint Louis Over 138.5 (-110), 8p.m. ET
- UC Irvine -4.5 (-102) at UC Santa Barbara, 10p.m. ET
