Schedule Outlook

It’s a trial by fire for the Bears this season, as they open the year with a rematch of the 2021 national title game in Spokane. That November 4th game at Gonzaga is followed up by a Dallas clash with Arkansas in one of John Calipari’s first games helming the Razorbacks.

The Bears finally get a pair of easy home games in mid-November before heading to the Bahamas for the Baha Mar Hoops. They’ll get two great matchups during their trip, seeing St. John’s on November 21st before facing off against either Tennessee or Virginia the following evening.

The challenges are far from over for Baylor, as they’ll have another immense challenge on December 4th, heading to Storrs to play at Connecticut as part of the Big 12-Big East Battle. Fortunately for the Bears, their other nonconference games are all very winnable mid-majors at home, including most of the rest of the month of December.

Their Big 12 schedule begins December 31st at home against Utah, welcoming one of the four new teams into the conference. Early January provides a trip to both Arizona and Arizona State, giving a close look at two other new faces in the Big 12. A few weeks later provides the Bears’ lone look at Kansas, which comes in Waco on February 1st.

Among other things of note during conference play, the Bears will see Arizona and Houston twice but only have road dates against strong Iowa State and BYU squads. There’s something of a softer stretch near the end of the regular season for the Bears, though Senior Night on March 8th sees their rematch with Houston.
