Losing the backcourt duo of Brown and McHenry hurts Utah’s offense but the hope is that the overall defense improves, thanks to landing the Horizon League Defensive POY in Burch. The frontcourt depth also should be better, thanks to getting back Faye, who missed all of last year with an injury.Â
But the reality is that the Utes don’t have much proven talent, and there are also no true Big 12-caliber centers. The hope is that a couple of players from the six-man incoming freshmen class can give them a boost in the rotation.Â
