- Dawson Baker (7.5 ppg and 1.7 rpg in 6 games)
Roster additions
- Collin Chandler (9.7 ppg and 2.8 rpg at Kentucky)
- Tyler Betsey (6.7 ppg and 2.8 rpg at Syracuse)
- Jake Wahlin (5.3 ppg and 3.9 rpg at Clemson)
- Adam Stewart (0.5 ppg and 0.3 rpg at TCU)
- Bruce Branch (5-star guard prospect)
- Dean Rueckert (4-star guard prospect)
The Cougars lost potential No. 1 NBA Draft pick Dybantsa but have big hopes for Branch, a top-10 wing prospect and another potential one-and-done player for the Cougars. Wright returns as one of the best point guards in the country, along with the sharpshooting Baker on the wings.
The addition of Chandler gives them depth on the wings, but the clear issue is the frontcourt. Neither Betsey nor Wahlin can play the five-spot, and BYU has missed out on several center targets, leaving a glaring hole on the roster with not many viable options to fill it.Â
