Georgetown Hoyas - A-

After a very bad first season at Georgetown, head coach Ed Cooley was able to pull it together a little in his 2nd season going 18-16 and finishing 7th in the conference after being projected to finish 9th. Georgetown was able to pick up some solid wins against Creighton, Xavier, and Villanova twice this past season, which is a pretty big deal as the season before last they only got 2 conference wins, both against DePaul who went defeated in conference play 2 seasons ago.

This offseason Cooley did a shockingly great job putting together a solid roster. In the high school scene, they got a solid 0 commits, but the transfer portal is where coach Cooley did all of his work, picking up 6 commits and only losing 5. They lost some solid pieces in the transfer portal, but they were also able to retain a couple solid players from last years roster so its almost a wash there.

In the portal, Cooley picked up a couple of major names in Langston Love from Baylor and KJ Lewis from Arizona, both players being key pieces to tournament teams this past season. Cooley was still able to pick up some other solid pieces in Vincent Iwuchukwu from St. John's, DeShawn Harris-Smith from Maryland, Isaiah Abraham from UConn, and Jeremiah Williams from Rutgers, all good additions for next season.

If the players Cooley picked up with major potential all work out for him this team could be a big surprise in the Big East, and could potentially steal a tournament spot from someone next season.
