Losing just about everyone from a team that largely overachieved is a blow for Coach Shaheen Holloway, having to start over yet again. On the positive side, there should be more offense, led by Jones and Thomas in the backcourt, while Brown is a former four-star prospect with high-major talent who also shot nearly 40% from deep at LMU.
However, losing Hines may be the most important departure outside of Clark. His interior defense hasn’t been replaced, and in fact, the team doesn’t have a true center on the roster right now. Seton Hall did land Hines (who reclassified) late last offseason, so it will be looking for another late addition to be more competitive.
