It’s a new era at Providence, with Bryan Hodgson taking over as head coach for Kim English. While he wasn’t able to bring much talent from his American championship squad at South Florida, he did get one of the league’s best scorers in Vanterpool from FAU. Plus, Mack is a proven Big East Basketball scorer from Georgetown, while Pate is a high-risk, high-reward pickup who, at one point, was a 5-star caliber prospect coming out of high school.
Page was up and down at Northwestern, but he and Aletan give them interior depth to help replace Erhunmwunse inside. This should be one of the top defensive units in the Big East and if Mack and Vanterpool can be quality starters, the Friars can make a ton of noise next year.
