Considering the lack of hype with the roster, Coach Kevin Willard’s first year with the Wildcats proved to be a big success, separating from the middle of the pack to make the NCAA Tournament. There’s more high-level talent this time around, led by the forward duo of Evans and Royal.
Villanova bringing back its leading scorer (Perkins) and adding some shooting in Simmons and Fiegen, gives them great roster depth from 1-4. But the biggest remaining question is at center, with Evans likely to play some small-ball five if they can’t land any additional pieces. But between the coaching and top talent on the roster, Villanova looks fine to remain at 3rd.
