7. Creighton Blue Jays 5-4

Things have not gone as planned for Josh Dix with the Blue Jays. The Iowa transfer has seen his team lose three out of their last five games. They lost by seven to Baylor, 18 to Iowa State and 21 to Nebraska. Those were all chances to pick up impressive resume wins, and they could not do so. Their best win is over a middling Oregon Ducks team. They will look to get back on track and take on another struggling power conference team in Kansas State on Saturday.

8. Xavier Musketeers 7-3

The boys from Cincinnati have won four straight games. The Musketeers started 2-0, but then fell to Santa Clara and Iowa. Their third loss was by a single point to Georgia. Since then, wins over West Virginia and Cincinnati seem to have the fan base excited and the kids playing with an extra step. The Musketeers will look to finish their nonconference slate strong with a home game against Missouri State set for Friday night.
