Wisconsin Badgers - Grade: B

  • 2025-26 record: 24-11 (14-6)

Roster departures

  • Nick Boyd (20.7 ppg and 4.3 apg)
  • John Blackwell (19.1 ppg and 5.1 rpg)
  • Braeden Carrington (8.3 ppg and 2.4 rpg)
  • Andrew Rohde (5.7 ppg and 2.9 apg)
  • Alesas Bieliauskas (4.9 ppg and 4.4 rpg)

Roster returnees

  • Nolan Winter (13.1 ppg and 8.5 rpg)
  • Austin Rapp (9.7 ppg and 4.0 rpg)

Roster additions

  • Trey Autry (11 ppg and 3.5 rpg at George Washington)
  • Eian Elmer (12.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg at Miami OH)
  • Victory Onuetu (4.7 ppg and 6.9 rpg at Hofstra)
  • Owen Foxwell (4-star guard prospect)

You can’t give an “A” grade to a team that lost its star guard to the portal, with Blackwell off to Duke this offseason. But a very important aspect this offseason in the sport has been retaining frontcourt pieces, with the Badgers keeping both Winter and Rapp for another year, with Onuetu set to back them up.

The backcourt is where the questions lie. Autry and Elmer are both quality shooters who’ll spread the floor well. Foxwell, one of five incoming freshmen, could be the point guard of the team out of the gate. If that works well, Wisconsin will be fine.

If not, then they could be set to take a step back as a team.
