Minnesota’s offseason is confusing, as it did something few teams in all of college basketball did. And that’s bringing back three double-digit scorers from last year. Yes, none are Tyson, but Crocker-Johnson is an all-league caliber player.
The problem is what the team did to surround them. Evans reunites with Coach Niko Medved, where he averaged 10.6 ppg and 3.1 apg at Colorado State. But the others are players who haven’t produced at the high-major level and are definite risks.
Unless multiple of those guys break out, this will be a team with enough talent to get out of the bottom-third, but not one with realistic NCAA Tournament expectations.
