Nebraska brings back one of the best players in the country in Sandfort, an elite shooter and Big Ten Basketball Player of the Year candidate. Frager is capable of breaking out, while Essegian returns after suffering a season-ending injury.
While there’s not a ton of star power among the incoming portal class, there should be plenty of depth. Wilkinson, Orme, and Kapke are a good group, while Leonhardt was the top passer in the WAC and a quality individual defender. History says Nebraska will either be in the top-4 or the bottom-half, and with Sandfort back, the bet should be another top-tier finish.
