13. Nebraska Cornhuskers

The Huskers took a step back last year after making the NCAA Tournament in 2024 and lost Juwan Gary and Brice Williams. But all hope is not lost in Lincoln. Perhaps the biggest piece for the Huskers in 2025-26 is internal with Rienk Mast set to return after missing all of last season with an injury. Mast averaged 12.3 PPG and 7.5 RPG on the 2023-24 team that reached the NCAA Tournament.

Flamethrower Connor Essegian returns and will likely warrant a starting spot. Essegian pairs nicely alongside Pryce Sandfort, who shot 40% from three last season at Iowa. Kendall Blue, 6-foot-6 guard, averaged 12.3 PPG at St. Thomas. In 2024, he shot 64.8% from two.

In the frontcourt, 6-foot-10 forward/center Central Michigan transfer Ugnius Jarusevicius had a 57.9 eFG% at CMU last season. But who can step up and be that go-to scorer for Nebraska similar to Brice Williams?
