This past week is the least amount of games collectively played during the NCAA Basketball season. However, that doesn’t mean meaningful results didn't occur. A few teams got some nice victories to their resumes, while others took losses that could come back to haunt them down the road.

Here’s a look at the four teams who were the biggest losers overall from the holiday week.

Loyola-Chicago Ramblers

The injuries have proven too much for the Ramblers to overcome, missing three starters to injuries in the past few weeks. It caused them to go winless in the Diamond Head Classic, losing to Oakland, Charleston, and Murray State. Even if they were to get those guys back eventually and be a threat in the A-10, their at-large chances are likely finished.

Washington Huskies

There weren’t many bad losses for high-major teams at all during this stretch, which is a surprise when you consider how distracted players can be. But the one true upset was Seattle U over Washington, which will be a Quad 4 setback. While the Huskies haven’t looked like a tournament team to this point, this was their first true bad loss of the season.

Nevada Wolf Pack

Nevada had a solid start to the season, including wins over VCU, Washington, and OK State. But Mountain West play hasn’t been very kind to them, losing the first two games to Colorado State and Wyoming. While losing at the Cowboys is understandable, it’s still another blemish to a team that’s stacking them.

Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga isn’t in any danger of missing the NCAA Tournament but seeding is what’s important for a team who needs to do well in the non-con. They lost a Quad 1 opportunity to UCLA and only have a few left going forward in WCC play. If they fail to get a top-4 seed in the West Region in March, this result will be a reason why.
